NYC Lion King cast sings Circle of Life on the Subway

I love these little pop-up publicity stunts that the Broadway casts do.

Remember the one of the Australian cast singing this song on a flight? It was OK. This was a little better.

There are still some things that we can learn from this for future "freak people out on transit by chanting" videos:
  1. The acoustics on the NYC subway are terrible
  2. Don't surround one guy who is going to show up in every shot looking awkward and uncomfortable (I feel ya guy in the stripped shirt).
  3. Circle of Life, when performed on stage, is beautiful. Circle of Life when performed anywhere else tends to sound screamy and just...not magical at all.
Still love the Lion King though. Always.
