MAGIC! joins Snow in the "Canadian Reggae artists with a Billboard #1 hit" club

The Toronto band MAGIC! has made their way to the top this week...of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  The pop-reggae band's song Rude has dethroned Iggy Azalea's Fancy as the number one song in America. *Applause*

It has been over 20 years since a Canadian reggae artist has topped the Billboard top 100 chart. Snow was the last one to do it in 1993 with his song Informer. I also think Snow was the only other Canadian reggae artist to do anything memorable. Or maybe he was just the only other Canadian reggae artist, period. Clearly we need more reggae artists.

In honor of the #1 accomplishment, watch this response by dad Benji Cowart to MAGIC!'s song Rude. Love it.

You tell 'em Dad.
