Canadian Country stars get ready for flood relief concert/telethon

Earlier today the Alberta Flood Aid concert was announced which will be happening on August 15 at McMahon Stadium and also announced was a second Flood Relief concert which will be held at the Southern Jubilee Auditorium on August 4. The funds from this concert will also go to the Calgary Foundation’s Flood Building Relief Fund.

It wouldn’t be an Alberta if there wasn’t some sort of ho-down. The line up for the second concert, called Halo High Water will include Paul Brandt, Dean Brody, George Canyon, Jim Cuddy, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Brett Kissel and Susan Aglukark. Other performers will be announced closer to the date.

This concert will also be televised on CBC TV and Radio and will happen in conjunction with a telethon to raise funds nationally.

Tickets for this concert will be available for purchase on Saturday July 20. For more information go here.
