HELLO! Canada released its Most Beautiful Canadians issue and Avril Lavigne is on the cover. Huh? Yeah, you heard that right.

I'm not saying that Avril is not a pretty individual, but cover worthy? No, get real. So why was Lavgine the cover girl? Well, HELLO! Canada released a statement about the issue.

"Unveiling our annual Most Beautiful issue is as thrilling as giving a close friend a big, beautiful birthday present,” Hello! Canada editor in chief Eastwood said in a statement. “And this year is especially exciting. Avril and her fiancé Chad Kroeger have been great friends to HELLO! Canada, their wedding is just around the corner, and our exclusive (and rare) photo shoot, on the eve of Avril’s return to the pop charts, was nothing short of magical."

Eastwood peaking about 'great friends' and a 'close friend' in regards to who they chose as their cover girl pretty much devalues, not only their cover, but their entire list. No offense to the people who made their top 50, but whose ass were you kissing over at the mag?

What a farce.

I also think they are missing some people on that list. Off the top of my head I would say Taylor Kitsch, Joshua Jackson, Malin Akerman, Nina Dobrev, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Coeur de Pirate, and Evangeline Lilly. Just sayin'.
