Craig Ferguson heads to Banff, AB

The BANFF World Media Festival never fails to bring some talent to Alberta. This year they have announced that late night show host Craig Ferguson will be receiving the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award.

The award 'recognizes a creative talent that has made an outstanding comedic contribution to the media industry. Past honorees include Ricky Gervais, Martin Short, Kelsey Grammer and last year’s recipient, Chuck Lorre.'

I am still mad that I didn't go to Banff to stalk Gervais the year he was here. The failures of my life are staggering with some huge stand outs.

The Festival itself is meant to be for industry people, but it is never a bad time for one to plan a trip for the weekend...

Also attending the festival will be Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Will Arnett and The Good Wife's Christine Baranski. There is also a host of TV execs and more notable people still to be announced.

The festival runs June 9-12, 2013 at the Banff Springs Hotel.
