Watching the Kardashians is like watching culture die according to Strombo

In a recent interview with HAHAJK Studio CBC's George Stroumboulopoulos sat down and chatted with the two hosts of Me and the Jew about a myriad of things.

Interesting interview, but my favorite part came about halfway through when they are discussing he recently deceased cop killer Chris Donner who died in a fire while in a stand out with police and how people wanted to see pictures of his corpse. The host said it was similar to the movie Faces of Death and how traumatizing that could be to watch.

"Faces of Death is what YouTube is now. Really, just a chance to watch people die. If you watch the Kardashians, you can watch culture die, it’s not unlike that," said Strombo

I am not sure that I fully agree that it is necessarily killing culture - I mean, that kind of IS the culture of our time, which is probably worse than just killing culture all together.

Centuries from now when a social scientist is analyzing this decade they will be able to blame a lot of garbage of the time on the likes of the Kardashians and anything other reality show ever produced by E!. I hope that this interview makes it into their study and then they can be like, this man is brilliant - he predicted the demise of society.
