Conan O'Brien to host the White House Correspondents' Dinner

After trying and failing to get one of the funniest gingers around to host the White House Correspondents' Dinner last year, they have chosen to go again with a ging...except this time it is not the hilarious Louis CK, it's the tall floppy haired late night host, Conan O'Brien.

Last year CK was booked to host the show and pulled out after people at Fox news were like "he's too brilliant" (or "too vulgar" - whatever). Jimmy Kimmel, also a late night host replaced him. Now this year they are combining the two and have booked a late night ging. Nice.

I like Coco, he's good people. This isn't his first time with this gig either...he did it once before, when he was young and not yet jaded (this is an assumption based on the fact that the last time he did it it was 1995).

That still does not cure my disappointment of CK not appearing last year. One of these days the world will be ready for that man, but until then there is always another replacement ginge waiting in the wings.

The White House Correspondents' Dinner airs on April 27, 2013.
