I get great joy when talented people make it in the music industry. I had been following Tareya Green for years, a local Calgary girl with a great voice who made YouTube covers and original songs. I covered her stuff a couple of times and wondered when her break was going to happen.

Imagine my surprise this morning when I turned on CMT and a familiar face was singing a pretty country song. I couldn't pint point where I had heard/seen this person before. I automatically defaulted to her being some TV talent show castoff, but after using my Shazaam app and tracking down the bands website it looks like Tareya Green is now a part of the country duo Autumn Hill. Fabulous.

The video was released in November so I am late to this rodeo...but better late than never right?

It is unfortunate that Tareya has now made all of her YouTube videos from her former pop life private - they were really good! You can however, still get her original songs on iTunes.
