Out This Weekend

The Golden Globe nominations were today - which means people are all of a sudden realizing that they haven't seen any of the big nominees and are checking the movie times on the Cineplex website. Or maybe that's just me. Who knows.

If you aren't rushing out to see Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook or Argo - you may want to check out these.

Hyde Park on Hudson (limited release)
I am interested...but not interested enough to ever go and see this. Bill Murray's Roosevelt seems like he could be a good time and I do really like Laura Linny, but again - no interested enough to watch.

The Hobbit
This movie is 3 hours long, in case you thought it was a normal length (which, by the way, used to be 90 minutes and now the average time for a feature film is 2 hours - who are these directors/producers that they just assume we have that much time to burn? Rude.). I have no desire to see this. The only thing I remember from the Lord of the Rings movies was my brother made me do a marathon of the 3 when they were all out and I am pretty sure we sat in front of the TV for 10 days. Never ending. I do like that the porn guy from Love Actually is the Hobbit. Score.

The Guilt Trip (Wednesday Release)
This looks like torture...however, I do like the part where they are at the Grand Canyon and he says "How long are we supposed to look at it"....that's totally how  I felt like when I was there. Unless you are a geologist save yourself the trip. Oh, and unless you are totally hard up for entertainment, pass on this movie.

My Pick: Hyde Park on Hudson. (But I will be at Silver Linings Playbook...or Lincoln. Still undecided).
