For Newtown. I cannot imagine

20 children were killed today at school in a country where people aren't being bombed and military are not patrolling the streets. What do you say about that?

I cannot imagine my heartbreak if my nephew, who will be going to kindergarten next year, was shot by a random man while he was learning how to spell his name and memorize his phone number.

I cannot imagine how that news would ruin my brother for the rest of his life.

I cannot imagine how traumatized his surviving classmates would be for the rest of their lives after seeing their little buddy dead in the middle of the play area.

I cannot imagine the devastation an event like that would bring to the community.

I cannot imagine the grief of my parents of losing their only grandchild.

I cannot imagine.

There are unimaginable things in this world that are other people's realities. Today, my unimaginable became reality for mothers, fathers, friends, families and the community of Newtown, Connecticut.

My thoughts are with the friends and families of Newtown today. My prayers are with the law makers that, through this unnecessary tragedy they will finally acknowledge the need for laws that protect not just 'give freedom'.
