Who is the bigger winner: Obama or Colorado? I can't decide

Tonight Barack Obama won the election against Mitt Romney. I am not sure why anyone was concerned about this. I am of the opinion that the media just made it look like it was going to be close so that people would get in a tizzy and watch their overly dramatic news coverage tonight.

So 'Bama wins. Yay.

The biggest piece of news of this evening is coming out of Colorado. They became the first State to legalize marijuana. ?!?!?!?!?!? Yes. This actually happened. Do you hear that Canada? How is it even possible for America to be more progressive than us? All the hippies in BC are burning shit tonight in protest I am sure.

In a 53% to 47% vote on Amendment 64 which legalizes recreational use and sale of marijuana to persons over 21 (up to one ounce). It also allows people to grow up to six marijuana plants at home.

This will be the first state to reap the benefits of taxing the sale of weed. Cha-ching. The first $40 million raised annually by the tax will go towards the public school capital construction assistance fund. Note the 'the first' $40 million will go to this, they are going to be making so much money. Jealous.

Take note Canada, take note.

UPDATE: 55% Washington residents voted in favour of MJ legalization. Passed...let's go to Seattle people.

Side note: This post definitely makes me look like a pot head. I am not...I don't even have a dealer.
