Calgary gets funny with the YYC Comedy Festival!

Calgary is having its very own comedy festival, YYC Comedy Festival, at the end of this month. Almost off of the performers over the 7 day festival have a Calgary connection, making it a unique Cow Town event.

There are some pretty funny people hailing from these parts (and I am not just talking about myself...although that should really be enough to make Calgs one of the funniest places on earth)...so I would definitely suggest checking out some of the action September 24 - 30, 2012 in venues around the city. (Click here for more information.)

The festival will culminate on Saturday September 29 with the YCC Comedy Festival Gala. The biggest names of the festival will be out making Calgarians laugh. Old school Kids in the Hall alum Bruce McCulloch and Mark McKinney will take the stage along with Gavin Crawford (This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Peter Oldring and Pat Kelly (This Is That),  Lori Gibbs (Comedy Now), Ryan Belleville (Just for Laughs), and Trent McClellan.

It's about time Calgary had a chance to laugh...about something other than pretty much avoiding the recession and having more money that the rest of the country. Bring on the stand-up.

XOXO
Jes...

Recommend: I have seen Lori Gibbs before...funny broad and dirty as f-ck. Awesome.
