Movie Review: The Amazing Spiderman

The Amazing Spiderman was pretty much that...amazing. I am not sure if it was as glorious as I recall because I was 3 corporate Stampede parties in when I hit the theatre up late last night, but I mean, come's Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. I could have written that without even having seen the movie.

Peter Parker is so angsty in this movie. I loved it. The emo side of me was jumping for joy. The 'hit bitches' side of me liked it as well cause there was some legit fighting. The 'f-ck yeah Denis Leary' side of me was doing back flips and the 'no tolerance for lame ass leading ladies' side of me was relieved that Emma Stone was dope. Man...I have many sides.

I definitely was not impressed that it was in 3D. Will this phase of movie life ever die? I think all the giant glasses hipster/hipster wannabes out there will agree with is PAINFUL wearing two pairs of giant glasses just to correctly see a movie. All of those people who have giant glasses and don't complain about this are fakes...and their glasses provide no improvement of vision.

I don't know if this is a spoiler...if so SPOILER ALERT. I am not sure how I feel about everyone finding out so quickly that Peter was Spiderman. Gwen was like, "Hum, I wonder." BOOM. Yup you're right. And then so many people saw his face. Is there no masked men mystery out in the world anymore?

The only other thing that I would say is, the lizard man wasn't too impressive. He was kind of 'meh' to me.

Verdict: 4.0 Stars
