Mimosas, Miss America and the Calgary Stampede Parade

The Calgary Stampede officially started yesterday! I feel like I have been waiting an entire year for this gong show to get started...and what better way to kick off the Greatest Show on Earth than drinking a dozen mimosas and watching the Stampede Parade with Miss America?

This year's Miss A, Laura Kaeppeler, was such a doll! For real. We chatted about her home State, Wisconsin. I told her the only thing I knew about it was cheese and That 70s Show. To which I got a blank I was like "Hello Wisconsin!" Blank stare. How can you not know the only pop culture reference to your State?! She had no idea. I hope Wisconsin forgives her.

I would personally shoot myself if I had to walk around smiling and talking to random people for an entire year while living out of a suitcase. I would have had a mental breakdown on day 2, but Kaeppeler has been rocking it out for the past 6 months and is still smiling. Some people just have it in them.

After watching the parade with Royalty we hit a patio. We made up a drinking game which I have decided to share with you because it was so successful in making my table look ridiculous. You must play this during the Stampede.

The key is you must point and and yell out when you see one of the people and then give a drink to someone else at the table. One drink when you see someone with a coloured cowboy hat. One drink if you see a group of 3 or more wearing matching outfits. Three drinks if you see a man in a full suit. One drink for the Canadian Tuxedo. And everyone must scream "OUTRAGEOUS" and all drink when they see someone walking by wearing a ridiculous outfit. The game is called...Outrageous (of course).

NOTE: Miss America was not with us when we were yelling 'OUTRAGEOUS' to random people on the side of the road. That would have been awesome, but I think she is too classy.
