Movie Madness: Out This Weekend

The summer movie season is right around the corner! A bunch of indie movies are coming out this week...unfortunately, they will not be out everywhere, but I suggest you watch them if you have the opportunity. If you are not in one of the cities that normally get the limited releases (Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver) they you may be out of luck...if you are in Calgary you can get your dose of indie next week at Sled Island Film. It's legit.

388 Arletta Avenue (Limited - Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver)
Remember a couple weeks ago when Nick Stahl went missing and his wife thought he died but he was just on a was like this movie, in reverse, but with drugs....and no video cameras.

Foreverland (Limited - Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver)
Movies about dying people going on trips usually are built to make you cry. I am kind of over it. It was all downhill after The Cure.

Lola Versus (Limited)
I want to see this movie so badly! I am so glad Greta Gerwig is getting legit roles. This could be my new 500 Days of Summer. IT COULD BE AMAZING!

Rock of Ages
Not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited about this one. Russell Brand's hair...neuf said.

Safety Not Guaranteed (Limited)
"Give me the lesbian and the Indian and you've got yourself a story." This also looks amazing...why are the rad movies always limited release. Tragedy.

That's My Boy
This movie looks about as pleasing as shoving hot coals up my vajay.

The Woman in the Fifth (Limited)
Ugh, glad this is limited. Not a fan of either of these actors...or this story line.

My Pick: Lola Versus. Seriously...I will go anywhere I can see that movie this weekend.
