Sacha Baron Cohen tries to prank Washington with this Invitation

Dream Job: Be on Sacha Baron Cohen's marketing team. Everything this guy does is friggin hilarious when it comes to promoting his outrageous films.

His most recent stunt to get people talking about his upcoming movie The Dictator was sending out invitations from the President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, to a special screening of the movie at the presidential residence in Zimbabwe.  These invitations were sent out in mass to Washington insiders and media.

This is obviously a fake and people are not going to be flying out to Zimbabwe to see the film. The media people who received the invitations were curious (as I would be too) and called to see if there was any truth to the invitation. The phone number actually connects you to the art ministry, but they had no idea about a movie screening or the movie itself. I am SO glad someone else called it...cause I don't even want to know what the charge would be for a phone call to Zimbabwe...and curiosity regularly kills this cat.

XOXO
Jes...
