Calgary's "No Nickleback Guaranteed" radio station, X 92.9, hosted the first ever X Fest last year. I wasn't thrilled at the line up as I am not much of a 'rocker' (well, all except Weezer…they're legit). So this year I was expecting more of the same for their second go at an outdoor festival.

This morning they made the line-up announcement and I was pleasantly surprised by the number of bands included that I really like. High five X 92.9!

I am thrilled for three of the bands on the line-up that are up-and-coming (to the masses, not saying they haven't been around for a while): The Joy Formidable, Young the Giant and Fun..
Now that we know the bands are to my standard...let's just hope the weather holds out. Heard it was sunny and prime time last year, and now that I plan on attending I am hoping mother nature does me a solid and keeps up this tradition.

The other bands include, Incubus, The Pack A.D., Mutemath, Silversun Pickups, L.P. and Linkin Park.
