Movie Madness: Out This Weekend

Ah movie time...or hibernation time. Depending on where you live I would suggest locking yourself in your house this weekend and catching up on everything you PVRd. Winter has arrived.

Coriolanus (Limited)
You know what I think of when I see Ralph Finnes? Schindler's List. Steven Spielberg essentially ruined Finne's career in my eyes cause I will never see him as anything else besides that crazy Nazi who shot people for fun. Oh, and this movie looks lame.

The Divide (Limited)
Fun fact about this...it was filmed in Manitoba. Another fun fact....it seems that only disturbing horror movies or films where the world is ending are filmed in Manitoba. This is a horror movie so clearly it is off the table for me. It looks like the same old same old in the 'world is ending/has ended' movie genre and nothing really else. Oh, and Jess from Gilmore Girls is in it. Haven't seen that chap around in a while.

Haywire
Look at this cast, all-star-ish for sure: Bill Paxton, Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Antonio Bandaras, and Channing Tatum...and the lead is some chick that I have never heard of in my life. So I look her up and find out (thanks to Wikipedia...which is no longer on blackout) that she is the 'face of women's MMA fighting'. Ew. Anyways, this movie looks pretty legit. I am wondering if this movie, like Salt, was originally written for Tom Cruise.

Red Tails
World War II movie...this time with a twist, or not really cause I am pretty sure the topic of racial discrimination in the army/marines/air force has been done before...by the likes of Cuba Gooding Jr. if I recall correctly. Anyways, Ne-yo is also in this movie. If you care.

Underworld Awakening
I blame the fact that they were able to make another one of these movies on Twilight. Gross. Kate Beckinsale...I wish for better things to happen with your career. Definite pass.

My Pick: Haywire...oddly enough I had no desire to watch it until I wrote this post, now I am intrigued.

XOXO
Jes...
