Canadian freestyle skier Sarah Burke passes away after training accident

Sarah Burke, a Canadian freestyle skier, originally from Barrie, ON who was recently based out of Whistler, was in an accident while training in Salt Lake City, Utah last week. She ruptured an artery that supplies blood to her brainstem and passed away due to cardiac arrest today. She was 29 years old.

Sarah was an advocate for her sport and was one of the key players in the decision to include it in the 2014 Olympics in Russia.

Thoughts are with the triple Fs (family, friends and fans).

The above video is Sarah winning the Gold Medal at the 2011 Winter X Games Europe.
