Golden Globe nominees announced

It's the most wonderful time of the year...awards season, which kicks off with the Golden Globes. The nominees were announced this morning. Most of the nominees seem like they are legit so I will just point out a few things:
  • Ryan Gosling was nominated twice, once for Best Actor in Crazy, Stupid, Love and also for Ides of March. Go Ryan go!
  • Jonah Hill was nominated for Supporting Actor in Moneyball...really? Fack, I need to see that movie.
  • The Best Actor in a Drama ballot was jam packed with hotness. George Clooney, The Descendants; Brad Pitt, Moneyball; Leonardo Dicaprio, J. Edgar; and Ryan Gosling, Ides of March. There is one other guy who is not hot, but I am going to pretend he does not exist.
  • Jim Parsons was left of the ballot for Best Actor in a Comedy for Big Bang Theory, but Johnny Galecki is reppin for the show with his nomination. Good job Leonard.
  • Best TV Comedy ballot is missing 30 Rock. How the hell did Glee still make the list? That makes me ill. Enlightened, Episodes, Glee, Modern Family, and New Girl all made the cut.
  • Speaking of New Girl...Zooey Deschanel nabbed herself a nomination for TV Actress Comedy. I would really like to see Laura Linney take home the statue in that category however, for her work on The Big C.
  • Gross...the silent movie about silent movies The Artist was nominated for 6 awards. If this awards season goes how I had hoped it wouldn't I am probably going to sleep through the whole thing.
Can't wait for January 15 when the awards will be broadcast with Ricky Gervais at the helm again. Until then, I have a lot of movies to watch!
