Top 5: Worst Movie Musical Songs

Musicals (movie or stage) are one of my favorite things. That being said, some of them are horrid and some have a song or two which I try to delete from memory.

This is a list of the Top 5 worst songs in movie musicals...now I am sure if I went back and watched something along the lines of From Justin to Kelly I would have to add some things in, but for now...here is my list:
S.O.S.
Mamma Mia
Whoever thought it was a good idea to cast Pierce Brosnan in a musical was either tone deaf or one funny bastard. This is some of the worst singing I have ever encountered from a musical...ever. As it is one of the worst songs...it is also one of the funniest. Whenever I am feeling down I think of Pierce signing and it ups my mood substantially. Especially when he says, "It used to be so nice, it used to be so good." and all of a sudden he adopts an Italian accent. Ha ha.

Get Your Head in the Game
High School Musical
I was a fan of HSM when it came out...I am not ashamed. I did, however, detest this song. I would also like to add to this list every song from HSM 2, as they were all garbage. I hope Zac Efron's kids rub this song in his face every time he pisses them off as teenagers.

Tango Maureen
Rent
I love Rent. Watching it while depressed is probably NOT the best idea one can ever have, but still...so legit. In the movie I always fast forward this song. Tango Maureen is the worst. What was Jonathan Larson thinking?! One thing that makes up for this blunder of a song: Taye Diggs Clapping. Don't know what I mean? Watch the intro to the movie. Best. Thing. Ever.

Happy Working Song
Enchanted
I didn't include any animated films in this list because...well Disney songs are usually da bomb, and I needed to have a clear focus or I would have been here all day eliminating Disney princesses. Since Enchanted is only half cartoon I made an exception. It was tough to narrow down which irritating song from this movie would make the list, but Happy Working Song is what I landed on. First of all...the name of the song is lame. Who the hell is happy when they work? Not I. And seeing those cockroaches come out of the drain and the mice rice across the floor gives me the heebeejeebs like no other. So gross and unsanitary.

Cheer Up Charlie
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
I was trying to keep the list with movies in the past couple decades, but I just could not ignore the horrendousness of Cheer Up Charlie. This whole movie gives false hope to poor kids whole live in shacks with their entire extended family..it just ain't right. (Also, if you want to see the movie with the song click here...those Willy Wonka people have this song on lock down).

XOXO
Jes...
