The Simpsons looking at making season 23 its last

The Simpsons...dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun da da da da - da da da da daaa DA DA DA DA.

The cartoon about the yellow family with hair made out of skin may be on the chopping block after 23 years on our televisions. I was 2 when the show started and I was 15 before I was actually 'allowed' to watch any of the episodes, but for many homes this show has been a staple.

It has recently come to light that the actors who voice the characters of the show are looking at a sizable pay cut from their current mid-six figure salaries. I heard somewhere 45% which seems incredibly high. The shows ratings have dropped and essentially the show isn't making a profit anymore. They would make more money selling reruns to different networks, which they can't do until the show is cancelled.

Will it be farewell Simpson family or will they come to some sort of agreement?
