Kurt Cobain's home town rejects memorial bridge naming

Kurt Cobain's home town of Aberdeen, WA had been given a proposal for a memorial bridge to be named after him, but the city scrapped the idea citing that they thought it would glorify his drug use and suicide.

Oh, come on. How many other people have memorials named after them that offed themselves? Granted it was probably not with a shotgun, but I think taking a cocktail of drugs and winding up dead on your bathroom floor is pretty much the same thing, just a different weapon. Kurt put that town on the map. He also was a huge musical influence of his time and should be remembered and recognized for that.
