Ryan Philippe Retiring?

Not quite. He did an interview with the New York Post where he said that he thinks he is going to end his acting career and spend a third of his year in New York.

"It is so hard to go out in LA. I'm going to move....I'm going to spend a third of my year in New York. I think I'm going to end my acting career...I'm so introverted. I'm ready to be behind the scenes. I'm 36, but I have been doing this for 20 years."

In the same interview he goes off about the paparazzi and how he don't like the spotlight...but then it is also mentioned that he will still do acting jobs if he likes them. Sounds like he is just going through a little mid-life crisis.

I don't understand why more actors don't abandon LA if they are so annoyed with the paparazzi. It's not like you will never find work again if you don't live next door to the studio. Sure a lot of stuff is filmed in LA, but if you are a film actor and you do a lot of stuff on location there really isn't any need for you to be in LA at all.

I think those same people that complain about the paps are the same people who want and crave the attention...they just want it on their time and on their terms. ie. When they have a film about to be released or they feel like they may be fading into obscurity, then it's all...where's the TMZ people at? I am feeling kind of friendly today. So annoying.

And Ryan...if you want to get rid of the paps you may not want to move to their second biggest hangout. NY? You kidding me? Puh-lease.
