Top 5: YouTube Covers

Every week it seems like someone is being discovered via YouTube, singing a song to a web cam from their bed, sink or closet...the most popular obviously being Justin Bieber. So I decided to do a little search and see what I could find...and there are thousands of people posting videos daily covering popular songs. There are some pretty talented peeps out there.

These are the top 5 of the ones that I actually saw. There are way way way more shitty ones out there than good ones. It was torture going through them.

Lindsey Lee - Hattiesburg, MS, USA
Airplanes - BoB feat. Hayley Williams
The Slow Dancing in a Burning Room part of this is a total lie. She says "slow dancing in a burning room"
like 3 times. But I still like the song. Check out her YouTube page here.

Scott and Ben -  Wigan, United Kingdom
Use Somebody - Kings of Leon
Two students from the UK. His facial expressions kill me...but he has a pretty legit voice. Check out their YouTube page here.

Tareya Green - Calgary, AB, Canada
Dreaming with a Broken Heart - John Mayer
Gotta throw in some J May. Tareya is a singer from Calgs. I really like her and I believe I have posted some of her original stuff before. You can check out her YouTube page here.

Conor Maynard -  United Kingdom
Yeah 3x - Chris Brown
This video was a little more technical than I wanted to get, but I had to use it...look at the kid's sweater. Awesome.

Lisa Scinta - Buffalo, NY, USA
Love the Way You Lie  - Eminem feat. Rihanna
This is my favorite. You definitely have to give props to someone who can sing out a white boy rap. All of this girl's videos are taped in the same place, no frills. I like it. No distractions. Her original songs would definitely fit the top 40 mold. You can check out her YouTube page here.

I will eventaully do another one of these as a Top 5...know of any awesome covers that I missed? Post the link in the comments section.
