In his latest interview, with Rolling Stone mag, Biebs got into some pretty taboo subjects giving out his 16 year old answers to pretty big subjects such as abortion, the American Health Care system, politics and sex before marriage.
Here are a couple quotes on said topics:
- Health Care "Canada's the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don't need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you're broke because of medical bills." (Translation: My mom buys my prescriptions and I base my US Health Care knowledge on John Q featuring Denzel)
- Politics: "I'm not sure about the parties, but whatever they have in Korea, that's bad." (Translation: If it was World War II I would have said "Not sure, but that Hitler is a douche" cause I know nothing about politics. Well played.)
- Abortion: "I really don't believe in abortion. It's like killing a baby. (How about in cases of rape?) "Um. Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that." (Translation: Someone told me abortion was wrong. WHAT? People get pregnant from rape...well that doesn't sound good. I should probably say I wouldn't judge THAT...all you other hoe's however, I do.)
- Sex before marriage: "I think you should just wait for the person you're...in love with." (Translation: I am so boning Selena Gomez.)
UPDATE: Rolling stone has "corrected" the Bieber quote about abortion siting and error in editing (Not that it really matters...I don't know who runs that ship, but they need to overboard the f-cker who asked a 16 year old boy about abortion and rape). It changed from the above quote to this:
Um. Well, I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I don’t know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.
A little bit better, but still...what a shit show.
XOXO
Jes...
Shame on RollingStone... I suspect the journalism in this piece (o shiz) was as high quality as the line of questioning one would except from TMZ or the Enquirer.
ReplyDeleteOnly the classy publications ask teenagers about rape, abortion, sex, religious beliefs and politics. They forgot to ask his thoughts on gun laws, suicides and gay rights - oh wait they did touch on the later too.
Watching the website homepage change over the day has also been enlightening... it was first framed to make it look like he answered these questions as 'fan twitter questions'. There is already one retraction and mis-quote type comment now too...
Bravo to RS on exploiting a teenager and seemingly taking his responses (to questions yet to be revealed) out of context.
