I missed the Emmy's tonight. Neil is probably sitting at home devastated right now that I missed his big hosting gig, but I hate the Emmy's because weird shit that I don't watch always wins stuff. Here is a list of some of the awards given out...and a list of who SHOULD have won.
Actor in a Comedy Series
Winner:Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) - Robbed: Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men). I f-ing LOVE Charlie Sheen...it was a no brainer, I guess some people have no brains.
Actor in a Drama Series
Winner: Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad). Robbed: Hugh Laurie (House)...ok first of all: who the hell knows who Bryan Cranston is? Silence. I thought so, NO ONE. Hugh Laurie HANDS down was the only viable choice in this category, especially in this season of hallucinations and crazy outbursts.
Outstanding Comedy Series
Winner: 30 Rock Robbed: How I Met Your Mother...there is nothing funnier on TV than HIMYM and if you try to tell me otherwise I will kick you in the box.
Outstanding Reality Series.
Winner: Intervention Robbed: Cowboys the TV Show...yeah ok I know it wasn't nominated, but it is defs the best reality TV show I have ever seen. Did that show ever get picked up? It seems like the TV industry is full of idiots right now, so my guess is no. F-ck.
Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Winner: Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men) Robbed: Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) I really don't need to explain to you how this is pure f-ckery...it should be common sense.
Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Winner: Cherry Jones (24) Robbed: Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy) I think Grey's gets shunned because the common folk love it so much. That's why all their weird shit shows that are on stations like Showtime that people never watch get nominated and win because most people hate it. Yeah I am defs too tired to elaborate or articulate on that thought.
That's all. Maybe I would have been more forgiving of the choices had I had a chance to see Neil in action...but i probably would still have the rage. Until next year...

Maybe try watching those shows on HBO and Showtime. They're much better than most of the shows on regular tv. Start with "Breaking Bad." -you can even watch it right on the AMC website. It's so f*cking good and then you'll understand why Bryan Cranston won the emmy. Though I agree w/ you that Hugh Laurie deserves an emmy too.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with the outcry over NPH not winning. I can't recall Jon Cryer ever having made me laugh ever while watching Two and A Half Men.
